Cristina Piai studied in the Padua Univerisity, Italy and obtained her degree in Civil Engineering in 1991. She completed her PhD in Transport Planning Engineering in 1997.
She is presently the Head of People Development within the HR Department of the IMI-Corporate & Investment Banking Division of Intesa Sanpaolo Group. Her main task is providing colleagues with opportunities of enhancing their professional and entrepreneurial skills and experience in order to contribute to the future development of the Division.
She started in the Intesa Sanpaolo Group in 2002 taking the role of Head of Communication and Customer Satisfaction of the Corporate and Investment Banking Division from 2015 to April 2019.
From 2009 to 2015, working between Milan and Brussels, she was involved in the debate on European grants, dealing with the definition of the Group’s position and with the aim of helping the Group’s customers to be aware of the benefits of the EU Research framework programs and grants.
