Vinika’s research is in leadership diversity, allyship, inter-generational influences on the future of work and incorporating sustainability into business practice. She is frequently invited to speak and quoted/ published in leading business publications. She started her career with Citibank and went on to become Managing Director of an Asian conglomerate, before making a serendipitous transition to education as Associate Professor at SP Jain Center of Management.
She advises Diversity & Inclusion and Sustainability initiatives at global organizations. She is Ambassador, Power Women of India; International Advisory Committee, Mody University for Women & SP Jain Return to Work Programme; Ambassador, She2030 (Europe); Advisory Board, Nine by 9 (Singapore); and board member at a non-profit and a think tank. She has a doctorate from Singapore Management University, an MBA from IIM Bangalore, and various management programmes from INSEAD and CEIBS.
Vinika is passionate about supporting women managers to make fulfilling work-life decisions, aiming to do this through active sponsorship rather than mentorship alone. She believes that business has the potential to be a force for good, led by responsible managers who value social impact.
