On Wednesday, 25/1, the second joint event of European Women On Boards and Women On Top was successfully held with the support of Accenture.
In this second meeting which was concerned with “How to Build an Online Brand & Presence and Why It Is Important”, the participants had the opportunity to learn good practices and tools they can use to create a complete and effective profile on LinkedIn, hear useful advice from professionals with a successful online presence, and solve any questions they had about how to build the brand they need to achieve their professional goals, especially when they wish to advance to leadership positions.
Ani Filipova, Founder & CEO of Change Advisory, presented good practices for creating a LinkedIn profile, and shared her own valuable experience, do’s & don’ts, as well as the benefits that a complete and active LinkedIn presence can offer us professionally.
Afterwards, a discussion followed between Mylaidi Stoumbou, Regional Director at Microsoft, Roulis Christopoulou, Head of Corporate Responsibility at Alpha Bank, Mina Birakou, Content Director at 24media and Ani Filipova, Founder & CEO Change Advisory, moderated by Penelope Theodorakakou, Co-Founder of Women On Top. Each of the speakers offered their own valuable perspective on social media presence while also sharing tips and lessons learned from their own journey in creating and maintaining a successful online presence.
In the end, there was an open discussion with the public, where the participants’ questions illuminated even more the importance of creating an online identity and the individual aspects and obstacles that can make this effort difficult.
