What a power house it is. EWOB held most of its political discussions on the Women on Boards Directive in this place. On January 17, we were back with our members to celebrate our partnership with the Nine, the agreement of the Directive and to discuss how to attract and promote more women on boards.
Kristen Anderson, EWOB CEO presented the EWOB strategy and achievements, the governance and the programs we are offering. It definitely triggered a lot of interest from members of the Nine and we hope to welcome some of them soon.
Marleen Thorré, member of both the Nine and EWOB, gave a wonderful testimonial, explaining the complementarity of the two organisations and the importance of networking. The goal is to make it fun and efficient at the same time.
Hedwige Nuyens, EWOB chair, led an interactive discussion with the audience, sharing tips and tricks on how to get a first Board mandate and be more visible for executive search firms. Many questions from the audience and plenty of stories to share.
Georgia Brooks, Founder and CEO of the Nine, closed the event. She unveiled the reasons of her passion and drive to make this world a better place, for all women. She also told how glad and proud she was to count EWOB as one of the members helping making this dream come true.
Time for networking and practise 😉 Luckily the Nine doesn’t close early. We will come back for sure.
