We have started 2nd year of data collection for the 2019 EWoB Gender Diversity Index. This time we extend the scope to allow for a more representative picture of gender diversity at the top levels of European corporations. EWoB GDI will cover all 600 companies listed in the STOXX Euro 600 in 17 European countries.  Complete report with results will be ready for publishing at the beginning of January.
EWOBâs mission is to advocate for gender diversity in boards, to disseminate good practices on corporate governance policies and measures which favor gender diversity, to contribute to the development and empowerment of women who are candidates for board positions and to make an insightful and valuable contribution to European policy debates on measures to foster gender equality in decision making.
The EWoB Gender Diversity Index aims to give visibility and recognition to those companies that succeed in reaching a high share of female voices and votes in executive leadership and boards. The first EWoB GDI was launched in November 2018 and benchmarked 200 companies in 9 countries. It gained significant press coverage in media such as Financial Times1, Agencia EFE and Fortune, while the award ceremony received the presence of various influencers, such as V?ra JourovÃĄ, European Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality.
