About EWOB and Women on Boards Albania
Women on Boards Albania
WOB-AL’s mission is to accelerate sustainable economic growth in Albania by strengthening the active participation and positive impact of women on boards.
The organisation focuses on advocating for, and shaping the agenda of gender diversity on corporate boards through events such as workshops, seminars, expert panels and public debates, bringing together multiple stakeholders.
Its comprehensive approach also includes capacity-building activities, career development programs, and mentoring opportunities for business women aspiring to grow and make a difference as leaders and decision-makers.
By addressing gender disparities in corporate leadership, the organisation envisions a more inclusive and equitable business environment where women play a pivotal role in shaping a sustainable economic landscape.
European Women on Boards is a European non-profit association based in Brussels. Since its foundation in 2013, EWOB is committed to advancing gender equality in decision-making roles across Europe.
The organisation aims to actively support women and their career aspirations by providing professional development programs, international networking opportunities, and monthly events to its community, counting over 900 members today.
EWOB also champions change across Europe through research and advocacy, in collaboration with local partners and European institutions.
What does our partnership mean?
“European Women on Boards (EWOB) has been contributing to gender diversity at decision-making level in Europe for a decade, in particular via strong collaboration with national organisations who aim to improve the gender balance on corporate boards.
We look forward to the positive impact coming from our new partnership with Women on Boards Albania thanks to joint initiatives locally as well as best practice sharing with other European markets.“
– Silvia Wiesner, Chair of the Local Partnerships & Memberships Committee at EWOB
“EWOB-WOBAL partnership will strengthen our collective endeavours for more gender diversity, parity, and equal opportunities. Together we aim to nurture and unfold women’s potential at all levels of decision-making in corporate life.
Mentoring, advocacy, and inspiration from EWOB role models will be of direct value to the WOB-AL community.”
