It is with great pleasure that I would like to inform our supporters that the search to fortify the European Women on BoardsÂī board has been completed and six talented individuals, with very interesting backgrounds, have been elected at the EWoB Annual General Meeting as new Board Members.
Firstly, some changes in member association representations, where Jitka SchmiedovÃĄ is taking over from Muriel Anton to represent Odyssey, Czech Republic and Cristina Piai is taking over from Ulrike Sauerwald to represent Valore D, Italy.
At this point, a heartfelt thank you to the two long-standing Board Members, Muriel Anton, who served 6 years and Ulrike Sauerwald, 4 years, on EWoBÂīs board. Your support and hard work for EWoB has been greatly appreciated and we are very happy that your engagement in our future activities will continue.
Secondly, we have established four new committees and appointed their chairs as EWoB Board Members.
Kristen Anderson, Chair of EWoB Development Programs Committee. This committee will be responsible to enlarge, support and enrich our program portfolio, including the C-Level School, Gender D&I Academy and Cross-border Mentoring. The committee will also help to increase visibility and promote the EWoB talent pool across European industries.
Dr.Nelson Dordelly Rosales, Chair of Collaboration with European and International Institutions Committee.
The purpose of this committee is to develop strong relationships between various institutions sharing the same mission with EWoB. There is a lot to be gained from finding good partners and in finding the best way of supporting each other in ensuring a more gender-balanced future.
Dr.Rosa Kriesche-KÞderli, Chair of Research and Communication Committee The purpose of this committee is to further build on EWoBÂīs gender diversity research and benchmarks, promoting gender equality in decision making and facilitating best practices sharing across organizations. The committee will also focus on EWoBÂīs branding and communication activities, including dissemination of GDI results across Europe.
Hedwige Nuyens, Chair of Member Associations Committee
The aim of the Member Association Committee is to strengthen and accelerate our impact across Europe through the network of local member associations. By growing our network of like-minded member associations we will be able to facilitate cross-border sharing and understanding country specifics critical on the journey towards gender equality.
From April 27th, 2021, the board consists of its current board members Ingrid Gonnissen representing WOB Belgium, Yelly Weidenaar representing Talent Naar de Top Netherlands, myself representing Board Professionals Finland and the new members Cristina Piai, Jitka Schmiedova, Kristen Anderson, Rosa Kriesche-KÞderli, Nelson Dordelly Rosales and Hedwige Nuyens.
I am very much looking forward to working with this new, eager and dynamic team.
