

How to Truly Advance Gender Equality in the Workplace?
Konecranes and European Women on Boards (EWOB) are partnering together to honor the International Day for Women’s Rights, by reflecting with other EWOB partners and members on how we can truly advance gender equality in the workplace. In particular we will focus on the challenges we need to overcome in technology industries, learn from different companiesâ experiences, and share best practices on how to have diversity, equity and inclusion underpinning a companyâs culture and everyday work environment.
This session is open registration for EWOB members, Konecranes employees and anyone who wishes to participate, so please join the session and give your contribution to the discussion on Wednesday March 8th at 4 PM CET.

She has international experience in HR Field, with broad competencies in Operational and Business Partner HR, change management, Talent processes and Diversity and Inclusion. Mara is also Keynote Speaker on Diversity and Inclusion in many International forum and Konecranes-Winner of the Diversity Award 2022 by the Finnish Foundation for Share Promotion (PÃķrssisÃĪÃĪtiÃķ).

Luisa PristaLuisa Prista has +40 years of experience in technology, first as researcher and lecturer at the university and later as engineer in energy intensive industries and tunneling in Portugal and Switzerland. In all these positions she was the only âTech Womanâ in the working place! Very early she engaged with local and international Womenâs rights and gender equality leadership movements. In 94, she joined the European Commission in Brussels, to lead EU Research, and Innovation programs. She managed operational units and an agency of +500 people where she established new D&I modes of leadership . She was also responsible for EU programs for Women in Science, Tech and STEM.

Siddika DemirSiddika is a global executive with more than 25 years of experience in engineering, construction, biotech, pharmaceutical and technology. She serves on the board of a B2B startup and is a founding partner in a startup leveraging AI to automate radiological and medical workflow. As the founder of her own company in Germany, Siddika partners and invests in novel technology solutions. She is an angel investor and the Board Chairwoman of the London Chapter of Keiretsu Forum.

Kristen AndersonKristen is currently the CEO of European Women on Boards and a member of the EWOB Board and Executive Committee. From 2016-2021, Kristen was Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer for Barilla and had been a member of its D&I Board since its formation in 2013. Kristen reported to the CEO of Barilla and led a 12 member D&I Board, comprised of internal members from 8 regions and 2 external advisors. Previously, Kristen was VP of R&D for the Asia, Africa and Australia region for Barilla, based in Singapore. Previously, she joined Barilla in 2010 as VP of Research, based at the Barilla Headquarters in Parma, Italy.
